The Final Shape expansion has brought a hefty assortment of abilities, aspects, and fragments to play around with for the new Prismatic subclass in Destiny 2. Because of this, it can be difficult to know which abilities to prioritize first or which ones play better than others. For those of you who play all three classes, you'll want to know which abilities you should be using for your respective builds.
Many abilities are unlocked simply by playing through The Final Shape campaign, which makes focusing on the ones you haven't found yet much easier. Thankfully, many of these campaign unlocks are quite strong, meaning you won't start off feeling weak or under-tuned. However, those abilities that are still locked after completing the campaign contain some 'secret sauce' for many Prismatic builds so you can still grow stronger.

9 Facet of Command
Reloading is a thing of the past
The Facet of Command Prismatic Fragment is essential when it comes to utilizing the Freeze or Suppression debuffs. With all the recent buffs to Stasis and the relevance of the exotic Tractor Cannon, this fragment is a must-have for all endgame players. This fragment can be unlocked after completing the campaign, but there is no objective for it, so it can be tricky to nail down how to obtain it.
According to Aztecross on YouTube, you can acquire the Facet of Command by heading towards the City Wall from the Impasse in the Pale Heart. Follow the stairs until you reach an icy area, in which there will be a locked Prismatic chest.
Across from this chest, there will be a hidden room with a Scorch Cannon you can transmat in to destroy the ice blocks nearby, which will drop elemental charges. Use these charges to fill up the machines in the hidden room, which will eventually spawn a Subjugator. Defeating this enemy will reward you with the Facet of Command Fragment.
8 Facet of Courage
Debuff your enemies for massive damage
The Facet of Courage Fragment will feel right at home in any builds that utilize Light abilities for single-target damage. This fragment reads: Your Arc, Solar, and Void abilities deal increased damage to targets afflicted with Darkness debuffs. Given how easy it is to apply Darkness debuffs, such as Freeze or Sever, the Facet of Courage Fragment is a great choice to include as a slot in your Prismatic builds.
This fragment can be obtained simply by unlocking Prismatic during the first mission of the campaign, "Transmigration". It will be available from the beginning, which can help with quickly defeating bosses during the Legendary campaign. This fragment will also boost the damage of your supers as long as the enemies are debuffed with Darkness.
7 Facet of Ruin
Bigger and better explosions
The Facet of Ruin Fragment is another specialized fragment, but is still versatile enough to be used on most Prismatic builds. This fragment reads: Increases the size and damage of the burst when you shatter a Stasis crystal or frozen target, and increases the area of effect of Solar ignitions. Given that Prismatic incentivizes the use of both Light and Darkness damage, buffing your Stasis shatter damage and Solar ignition size is a wonderful quality-of-life enhancement. This fragment can be effectively utilized in many top-tier Prismatic builds, especially those using the aspects listed below.
The Facet of Ruin Fragment is a perfect option for using the Conditional Finality exotic shotgun, as it grants buffs to both of its shots.
This fragment can be obtained simply by unlocking Prismatic during the first mission of the campaign, "Transmigration". It will be available from the beginning, providing you with additional enemy clearing capabilities. Increasing the potency of both your Stasis and Solar kits will be sure to help throughout the Legendary campaign.
6 Facet of Balance
Harmonize your powers for endless ability energy
The Facet of Balance Fragment is a phenomenal tool to use for constant ability uptime. This fragment reads: Rapidly defeating targets with Light damage grants melee energy. Rapidly defeating targets with Darkness damage grants grenade energy. This can be used in any builds that heavily rely on abilities as it will allow you to consistently chain them back to back.
This fragment can be found during the final campaign mission, "Iconoclasm". A Prismatic chest will spawn once you have defeated the Tormentor boss at the beginning of the mission. This fragment is impossible to miss, but does require you to progress through most of the campaign.
5 Facet of Protection
Because more damage resistance is awesome
The Facet of Protection Fragment is an essential part of all Prismatic builds, given the sheer amount of damage resistance it provides. This fragment reads: While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While transcendent, the effect is increased. The exact damage resistance values are 15% at base and 32% while transcendent.
This Fragment can be obtained simply by unlocking Prismatic during the first mission of the campaign, "Transmigration". It will be available from the beginning, providing an excellent benefit throughout the Legendary campaign and beyond. I recommend using this fragment on all of your Prismatic builds, especially for endgame content.
4 Consecration
Bringing the hammer down
Consecration has recently become a staple of Sunbreaker Titans, so its inclusion with Prismatic is a welcome addition. This aspect reads: While sliding, activate your charged melee ability to launch a wave of Solar energy forward, damaging and scorching targets in front of you as you leap into the air. While airborne, activate your charged melee again to slam to the ground and create a second larger wave of damaging Solar energy. If the wave hits a scorched target, they ignite. Combine this aspect with the Frenzied Blade melee and you'll have three charges of Consecration.

Unlocking this aspect is a little more complicated than the other two, as you must complete The Final Shape campaign first. Once you have done so, you will gain access to a quest called The Hollow, Part 1. This is the start of your post-campaign journey in unlocking the rest of your Prismatic kit. Completing this will reward Titans with the Consecration Aspect.
If you have already completed The Hollow mission on another character, you will be able to launch it again from The Lost City Landing Zone where there will be an orange marker to replay the mission.
3 Stylish Executioner
Disappear with every final blow
Hunters will start their journey with Prismatic with this aspect unlocked, which reads: Defeating a weakened, suppressed, or volatile target grants Invisibility and Truesight. After performing a Stylish Execution, your next melee attack while invisible weakens targets. Combo this aspect with the Snare Bomb melee for an infinite loop of invisibility and weakening.

2 Feed The Void
Devour just got a whole lot better
Warlocks will start their journey with Prismatic with this aspect unlocked, which reads: Defeat a target with any ability to activate Devour. Your Devour effects are improved, restoring additional health and grenade energy.
The amazing thing about this aspect is that it can be a successful combo with anything, as all it requires is an ability final blow to trigger its effect. This aspect is a perfect fit for any grenade-focused build, such as the Infinite Turret build with Getaway Artist.

1 New Warlock, Hunter, and Titan Supers
The Traveler helps us one last time
The three new super abilities that were released with The Final Shape are phenomenal, each boasting incredible utility and damage. Song of Flame grants enhanced abilities and regeneration along with massive damage resistance, which will transfer to the rest of the Fireteam.
Twilight Arsenal has Titans flinging three Void Axes that each deal massive damage and can also be picked up to be used as a relic for a short time. Storm's Edge causes Hunters to teleport three separate times, doing a massive Arc vortex slash that can clear crowds, which allows for various new movement tech options.
I recommend using Song of Flame for boss DPS and crowd control, Twilight Arsenal for boss DPS and burning down Elites, and Storm's Edge for the Crucible and traversal.
These new supers can be unlocked within The Final Shape campaign during the mission "Ascent". This mission will take you to a nostalgic location for all Destiny veterans, where there will be a massive fissure of Light. Communing with this fissure will unlock your new super ability, but only for the class you are playing. You must complete this mission on all three of your characters to unlock all the supers.
Now that you have all the best Prismatic ability options available for your characters, you can round out the rest by completing various missions and activities across The Pale Heart. Completing Alone In The Dark missions for Micah-10 will reward you with additional Prismatic fragments, as well as completing Corrupted Chest challenges. Top off the rest of your Prismatic kit and you'll be set to take on the new Salvation's Edge Raid in Destiny 2.
